Lawana Sue Boyd entered her heavenly home April 9, 2024. She was born September 18, 1951, in Wynnewood, OK to Edgar and Eula (Sue) Christian. Lawana grew up in Elmore City in her early childhood years before the family moved to Oklahoma City. She graduated from Moore High School in 1969. She married Richard Boyd and from this marriage they were blessed with two children, Tammy and Richard Boyd. She attended some college courses at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and went on to work in retail and accounting. She worked in many different retail/accounting roles throughout her life and spent the most time at Century Martial Arts before ultimately working at and retiring from Walmart.

Viewing will be Friday, April 19, 2024, from 10 am - 12 pm at Trout Funeral Home, 505 W Grand, Ponca City, OK. There will be a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park, 1901 East Hubbard Road in Ponca City on Friday, April 19, at 2 pm. Harold’s children will be hosting a Celebration of Life reception at The Harvest Hall, 201 N Second Street, Ponca City, OK, following the service.
