STILLWATER, Okla. – A nursing foal’s nutritional requirements will exceed the mare’s ability to supply nutrients to the foal through its milk a few months after birth, underscoring the need to provide access to solid foods.

The Ponca City FFA was recently recognized for being the Top Selling Single Teacher FFA Chapter in the state of Oklahoma by Blue and Gold Sausage Co. and was presented with a $1000.00 check from Blue and Gold, presented by Shelly Ramsey. This is the third time in four years that our local FFA Chapter has received this award. Local FFA advisor Kevin Frazier attributes this award to the wonderful participation of his students and families, the amazing support of the Ponca City Community, as well as the high quality of the Blue and Gold Products. “It’s a pretty easy deal when you have students pushing the best product in the world,” says Frazier of the prestigious achievement. Congratulations Ponca City FFA on this outstanding award.

THE PONCA CITY junior high girls golf team finished third in the recent Ponca City Invitational with a score of 258. Wellington, Kan., was the team champion with a score of 220. Ponca City’s Katelyn Clark was the individual champion having shot a 48. Ponca team members include, from left, Gracie Orr, Brylen Liberton, Landry Baur, Katelyn Clark and Ella McKee.
