PCPS teachers attend PLC Live Institute — Approximately 130 Ponca City Public School teachers attended a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work LIVE Institute Tuesday morning in the high school auditorium. The institute was streamed in real time and features education experts with first-hand experience using the PLC at Work process to transform teaching and learning. The institute continues through Thursday.

SHOWING THEIR winning catch are Ponca City WIldcat fishing team members Codyak Wyatt and Carson Lively. The two were the winners of the Kaw Lake Tournament on June 5. With them is boat captain Steve Owens, center. The winners caught five fish weighing 8 pounds and 8 ounces. Second place went to Justice Childs and Clayton Murff and boat captain Dean Gracias with a catch of four fish weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Cohen Edwards and Miguel Garcia with boat captain Jimmy Green finished third with a catch of three fish weighing 6 pounds, 5 ounces. Jay Michael Glowacki was the winner of the Big Bass award with a fish weighing 3 pounds, 15 ounces. Bill McDonald was his boat captain.
