Charles Clifton Cannon

Charles Clifton Cannon beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on July 7, 2020 at age 94 in Austin, TX. He was born on May 13, 1926 in Osceola, Arkansas to Cliff and Ruth Cannon and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Osceola. Charlie served in the Army during WWII in the Philippines and South Korea and shared many stories of his experiences during that time. He lived life to the fullest and even at the age of 94, he was still a private licensed pilot. He was a mentor to many family members and friends. Charlie spent 15-years in the car business in Osceola prior to purchasing Bill Moore Chevrolet in Ponca City, OK in 1969 renaming the dealership to Charlie Cannon Chevrolet. He had a vigorous 30-year career in Ponca City and acquired several car dealerships. Charlie was past Director and Chairman of the Board of the former Pioneer Bank & Trust and past Director of the former First National Bank in Ponca City.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Westside Baptist Church in Walters.

Wanda Sue Peery Sheehan

Wanda Sue Peery Sheehan, age 79, of Ponca City, OK, died of complications from pancreatic cancer at Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, CO, on July 11, 2020. She was born to Max and Nell (Gunnell) Peery, August 2, 1940 in Stillwater, OK. Wanda attended Stillwater public schools and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1958. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Secretarial Administration and, later, from the University of Oklahoma (her only option) with a Bachelor of Science in AdministrationLiberal Studies. Wanda was a member of the Beta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity while in college and served on their House Corporation Board for a number of years.
