Louis Marzuola, Jr.

Louis Marzuola, Jr., 97, Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away February 7, 2024, following his wife of 72 years who passed six weeks prior. He was born the first son and sixth of eleven children born to Italian immigrants Luigi and Elisabetta Ricci Marzuola on August 10, 1926, in Haileyville, Oklahoma. He passed peacefully to his eternal reward in Ponca City, Oklahoma, surrounded by loving family. Louie always took great pride in being “The World’s Best Papa” and worked hard to fill that role as long as he could. The love and passion of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren are testaments to his efforts.

Joe attended church and Sunday School at Webb City Methodist in his youth and transitioned to Shidler Methodist.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loving husband and father, Don Rigdon. After a valiant fight against esophageal cancer, he passed peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024 surrounded by his family, wife Kerry Rigdon, son Jackson Rigdon, daughter McKenna and her husband Drew Fly. He will be sorely missed – as a loving husband, father, son, friend, wine enthusiast, and OU’s biggest fan. He was a 1979 graduate of Blackwell High School, OU 1982, Navy 1989, and NBA 1993.
