F. John Carpenter was born December 26, 1922 to parents Clarence and Ella Oliver Carpenter in Ponca City, OK. He passed away in the early morning hours surrounded by family in Oklahoma City on May 1, 2022 at the age of 99.

Michael Gordon Meeks, 71, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, June 7 after a brief illness. Memorial Service: 10:30 on Saturday, June 25 at First Christian Church, 210 N.

On Monday June 13, 2022, Garry Wallace O’Mealey passed away of natural causes at the age of 81. He leaves behind his wife Ann of the home, son, Jason Farias and wife, April, and grandson, Holden, daughter, Anna Lena Kashirskiy and husband, Alexander. Garry is survived by his brother Dr. Gerald O’Mealey and wife Peggy of Tonkawa, OK sister Elma Jean Danford and husband, Jerral of Fort Morgan, Colorado, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a few great-great nieces and nephews. Ann and Garry were together over 23 years and celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on April 7th, 2022.

George Venable was born to George and Katherine Venable on August 22, 1943, and he departed this life on June 6, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m.

Ronald Wayne Pettit, age 84 of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Wayne was born on May 20, 1938, to Roland and Anna (Sherron) Pettit in Tonkawa, OK.

Dr. Phillip Joseph Knight returned home on June 11, 2022. Viewing will be held from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM and the rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, both at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and proceed to the Ponca Tribal Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Ponca City Country Club. Tom was born in Miami- Dade, Florida to Juanita “Barbara” Seabolt and Collis Vernon Collins. He was raised in Garden Grove, California by Barbara and Raymond Hampton. Tom went to Santiago Schools in Orange County. In high school he acquired his love of cooking through a chef class. He would carry this passion throughout life. One of his proudest memories was him and his dad coaching his sisters Softball Teams to Championships. After graduating, Tom served in the US ARMY, stationed in Germany.
