Born and raised in Ponca City, OK, he graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968 and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma followed by Oklahoma State University. He joined the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he met many lifelong brothers. Upon his graduation from OSU he traveled with his new wife and daughter to Denver, CO where he would attend and graduate from the University of Colorado medical school. Once his medical training was complete, he returned to his childhood home to serve his community for the next forty-three years.

He was a man with a gigantic heart, and his love for and devotion to his family and friends shone through in everything he did. The only thing he loved almost as much was golf, and if it would have been possible, he likely would have spent every single day on the golf course with all the other “happy people.”

He also loved reading, history, board games, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, sports, the Cowboys, the Sooners, fry bread, Big Cedar Lodge, Polo shirts, old cowboy movies, medium rare steaks, fishing, and cooking competitions.

With such a large presence, his absence will be felt deeply by all those who know and love him, and he is already sorely missed.

He is survived by daughter, Leigh and son-in-law, Chris Scully, of Edmond, OK, daughter, Samantha and daughter-in-law, Sarah Knight, of Erie, CO, daughter, Rachel and son-in-law, Mario Balistreri, of Petaluma, CA, daughter, Mallory and son-in-law, Josh Glover, of Ponca City, OK, son, Dallas Knight, son Hadyn Knight; close family friends, Gena McCloud, Halli Paslay, Madison Hurley all of Ponca City, OK; first wife, Bridgit Wall of Fayetteville, AR; second wife, Becky Myers of Fairfax, OK; sister, Vickie Scavezze of Ponca City, OK, sister, Gina and brother-in-law, Jake Ewing, of Ponca City, OK; brother, Vincent Knight of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Margaret Knight of Edmond, OK; granddaughter, Jordan LeGrange and husband, Justin, granddaughter, Katie Scully, grandson, Shawn Scully, grandson, Brace Glover, grandson, Gideon Glover, granddaughter, Sawyer Knight; puppy Bandit and kitty Leo.
