James Dale Megenity, 68, of Ponca City, departed this life on June 18, 2022, to be with his Lord and Savior. Services will be held at NewPoint Church in Ponca City, OK, on Friday, July 1, at 1 pm. Burial will follow at 3 pm, at Grace Hill, Perry, Oklahoma. Melvin Curtis lived 106 yrs Mel Curtis, native of Ok., celebrated his 106th earthly birthday on May 26, 2022, and went to his heavenly home on May 30, 2022. We can go back to his 2 sets of grandparents being in the Okla Land Rush and staking claims side by side on the old Uncas Road bringing his parents together.

Virginia Maxine Bahm

V. Maxine Bahm, 92 year old of rural Kaw City, Oklahoma. Went to join the Lord and her husband, Bob in heaven on July 23, 2022. Maxine was born at home in rural Berwyn, Oklahoma on February 9 1930. Maxine was the fourth child of eleven born to CC Jones and Lottie Mae Cullens Jones. She graduated from Lone Grove High School in 1948. Went to college at University of Central Oklahoma which is where she met her husband, Bob of 71 years of marriage which began November 5th, 1949.

Garry Duane Warren Canaday

Garry Duane Warren Canaday had his last dance on June 16, 2022. He was 78 years old. Garry was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on October 27, 1943 Lawrence Duane Canaday and Elda Emma Bagg Canaday. He was raised on a farm north of Pawnee, Oklahoma. He joined the Army August 4, 1961 shortly before his senior year. He got his GED in January 1962 at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina which he was proud to get. He was sent to Wertheim, Germany in June 1962 and spent 27 months making the rank of Sergeant E-5. He received an honorable discharge in July 1964 and moved to Kaw City, Oklahoma. Garry was a Ponca City Fireman from March 1, 1967 to January 1, 1983. He drove a cement mixer for many companies and was involved in other jobs for many years until his full retirement in 2000. He met his match and was blessed with his true love of his life Pearl Ann Bowhay Richards. They married on June 12, 2004. They celebrated 18 wonderful years together. Garry was an avid sports fan and loved all OU Sports, New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers.
