Student writer submission This I Believe TAYLOR KREMPASKY Northern Oklahoma College Student Have you ever wondered where the cars around you were going? All the complete strangers flying past you rushing to get somewhere? Being in ministry offers me the opportunity to know many people. I have pastoral friends from different denominations. Unfortunately, there is a stigma attached to the denomination that people attend. Our media is good at publicizing most of the negative issues our churches face. The most important issue people need to concern themselves with is the foundation for which ministry is based. I am referring to biblical teaching. The inspired Word of God should be our sole guidebook in developing a personal relationship with God’s One and only Son, Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” It is not your belief in the denominational polity where one worships that should define you. It is your belief in God’s provision for His creation based upon the inerrant Word of God. The Apostle Paul wrote to his friends in Thessalonica concern issues they faced. Paul’s encouragement is found in1 Thessalonians 2:4, “But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.” I pray that people in all denominations would be pleasing God in their pattern of worship. Let’s give praise where praise is due. To God be the glory, for great things He can do and will do in the lives of those that live like they truly know Him in their heart. Find a church where you can worship and praise the Lord. During this Easter season, let us be thankful for that eternal life that is awaiting true believers.
