Bills cracking down on marijuana alive in Oklahoma legislature

A month after Oklahoma voters defeated recreational marijuana, dozens of bills proposing changes to the state’s five-year-old medical marijuana program remain before lawmakers. Among them are proposals to limit the concentration of THC, the mind-altering chemical in cannabis, and another to make it harder for minors to get physician recommendations for medical marijuana.

Chamber holds Support Staff Reception

The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce hosted their Support Staff Reception on Thursday, April 13 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Chamber Office. The Chamber has held their Support Staff Reception for more than a decade, and it serves as their way of honoring and recognizing the work that these staff members put in, and the Chamber does so by providing treats and door prizes.

The Artistic Discovery competition, sponsored by the Congressional Institute, is a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional districtincluding Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District.
