Aug. 17, 2023 Domestic - At 12:23 am, the reporting party advised there was a domestic in the area of Lora and Union, and subject were outside screaming. Five males and a female, no weapons seen, but a child is involved. Two males were walking southbound with the child. Warrants request taken. An officer took Gerardo Campos, 28, into custody for public intoxication, and Jacob Juarex, 29, into custody for public intoxication.

OSAGE NATION, OKLA. (August 22, 2022) – The ____________ Language Department announces open registration for 2023-2024 community language classes. Virtual and in-person classes begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Various proficiency levels include Children, Parents, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Verbs, and Orthography. All classes are free and open to community members. First time students are encouraged to begin with the Orthography class in order to learn the sounds of the language as well as the writing system.

Semi strikes Newkirk High School student

At around 12:15 pm on Mon., August 21, Newkirk first responders were called to a scene that involved a 16-yearold student who was stuck by a semi-truck near the intersection of South and Academy. Witnesses, who claim to have seen the accident, state that the female student was in the cross walk near campus when struck. They also state that they witnessed the front tires drive over the patient.
