Following an executive session during the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents monthly meeting on Wednesday in Stillwater, the Board unanimously voted to approve the retirement letter of NOC President Clark Harris, effective Jan. 2, 2024.

Last week, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) trooper ticketed a tribal citizen with a current Otoe-Missouria Tribe license plate for failing to pay state taxes. The citizen was initially pulled over for speeding near Enid, before then being issued a $249 traffic citation for failing to pay state taxes on their motor vehicle, because they did not live on tribal land.

The Ponca City Public School Board of Education hereby announces that any statutorily qualified individual interested in running as a candidate on the Ponca City School Board of Education may file for this seat at the Kay County Election Board. The Ponca City Board of Education has one position vacant this year – Ward #4, currently held by Anna Roland. The term of office for this seat will run from 2024 until 2029.
