The Newkirk Tigers registered their first victory of the year in a big way Friday as they topped Kay County rival Blackwell 34-6. Meanwhile, the Woodland Cougars came up just a little short in their showdown with unbeaten Hominy, losing 23-20. Other area small school results included Tonkawa defeating Chelsea 34-0, Morrison defeating Chouteau-Mazie 36-20, Pawnee trouncing Oklahoma Union 62-7 and Waynoka defeating Deer Creek-Lamont 56-38.

Oct. 26, 2023 Suspicious Person/Vehicle At 1:23 am, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to a gold Honda Odyssey with no tags at OnCue on 1613 W. South Avenue. Subject in the van wore a Halloween mask. The reporting party thought this was suspicious.

LEWISTON, Maine – Bells rang throughout this city of shattered hearts after each name of the 18 victims shot and killed in last week’s mass shooting was read, one after one. Hundreds of locals, carrying heavy hearts, gathered at churches throughout the community on Sunday to grieve and process the “biggest challenge” it has faced.
