Wicker signs letter of intent

Brady Wicker has signed a letter of intent to play golf at the University of Central Oklahoma this fall. Wicker is a two-time state qualifier in golf, three-time golf letterman, a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council and a member of the Po-Hi baseball team. Coach Rod Alexander said, “Brady has been the leader of this team for the last two years. He has proven his leadership both on the golf course and in the classroom. Him signing with a great program like UCO will help further his playing abillities. If any of these words describe you and me, then we might be living in a state of what the Bible describes as anxiousness. Living in a state of worry, distress, and fear robs us of the joy and peace that the Lord designed and desires for us to have. So how do we leave anxiousness behind? Let me direct your attention to the answer found in God’s Word.

Most of us wish for an easy fix for our health issues -- a magic pill to lose weight or a magic way to cook vegetables that we love. And then along comes a study, recently published in the February 2022 issue of the journal Diabetes Care, that finds we can walk to prevent diabetes.
Three Wildcats receive All-Star honors

Three members of the 2021 Ponca City Wildcat football team have been named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Star team for Class 6A. Those receiving the honors were Nate Collins, Devin Zimmerschied and Cayson Badley.
