The Ponca Playhouse, having now held 65 seasons of entertainment, is cherished by the lovers of the performing arts in the surrounding areas. They are excited to present their newest show, a rendition of Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play by Anne Washburn.

The Ponca City Council of Garden Clubs will be meeting Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Cann Garden Home.

The Chorale Arts Society of Northern Oklahoma (CASONO) is pleased to invite members of the community who love to sing quality music to join them in song. The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, January 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian church, 1505 Grand Ave E, Ponca City, OK.

This week’s cat of the week is this beautiful girl, Marshmallow. Marshmallow is a 6 year old cat that has been with the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society since the beginning of October without a family to call her own. Marshmallow is an incredibly sweet and loving girl. She is the kind of cat that just wants to spend time with you and will voice her complaints when she isn’t being given attention. She just wants to lounge around, watching the world around her, and get some well deserved love and attention. Once you start petting Marshmallow, don’t expect to stop anytime soon, because you can’t handle looking into those gorgeous eyes and not show her some love. Marshmallow, is not the cat to shy away from attention, instead she openly accepts affection and attention and will even meow and cry when she isn’t getting any. Marshmallow has become such an amazing cat and all she needs now is a family and a home to call her own.
