Teacher turnover hit its highest point since the pandemic last school year, when more than 6,000 Oklahoma public school teachers left the classroom. The crush of school departures occurred even as the state implemented the largest salary increase for educators since 2018 at $3,000 to $6,000 per teacher, depending on experience.
April 16, 2024 Stolen Vehicle - At 4:58 am, the reporting party advised of a white Ford Mustang that was stolen. Vehicle was located on Highway 60 at 5:24 am. A pursuit ensued which ended in a crash at 14th and Highland. Officers took a 16-year-old juvenile into custody for larceny of an automobile, eluding, reckless endangerment, felony running a roadblock, and destruction of property.
