May 11—Oklahoma centerfielder Jayda Coleman showed no signs of slowing down to open up the season coming off two impressive campaigns to begin her career. It took 35 games before Coleman failed to reach base at any point in a game this season.

Anthony Davis wasn’t even looking when Andrew Wiggins rose off the floor and stuffed home the missed Draymond Green layup. Chase Center erupted as Davis looked for a goaltending whistle that never came, the Lakers’ star center meekly walking back to the bench while all the Warriors fans surrounding him celebrated.

The top-ranked Sooners have found plenty of ways to win en route to a 49-1 regular season record and a program-record 42-game winning streak, but Gasso still sees room for improvement.

The Cardinals, on the brink of their first sweep of the season, tripped on the mound when starter Jordan Montgomery could not continue his mastery of the archrival Cubs.
