Dear Annie: My ex-husband died several weeks ago in hospice. We have a daughter together who fell out with him years ago and has not seen or spoken to him in at least 10 years. In the meantime, our son and a daughter he had from a previous marriage had been taking care of him, and my son was doing all his yard work, too.

Ron DeSantis seems to be fading under the technicolor lunacy of Donald Trump. That’s a hard act to compete with, especially when the Florida governor’s act is a watercolor version. The assault on his state’s biggest private taxpayer and employer, meanwhile, is incomprehensive. The Walt Disney Co. isn’t a school librarian you can bully.

Most of those questions come from retired or soonto- be retired educators in those states where teachers have a separate retirement system other than Social Security.
