Melvin Gene Cain, 69, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on October 3, 2023. Viewing will be from 11 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2023, and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with Pastor Francis Bartley, Jr. officiating. Keith G Hanson, 80, of Ponca City, OK, formerly of North Platte, NE , died September 27, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Esther Louise Griffin, resident of Ponca City, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 2, 2023, at Ponca City Nursing Home and Rehab. She was 92.

Carol Lee Keeler went to be with the heavenly father on Friday the 29th 2023 at the age of 67. She was born in Ponca City, Ok on February 7th 1956, to Donald And Patricia (McEnany) Keeler.

Bret “Chuck” Bachar Sr., of Ponca City, Oklahoma; NASCAR fan, fisherman, master carpenter, and lover of the lake and everything boating, was called to heaven last Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the age of 63. His unexpected death will be felt by many.

Kendra Elaine Smith passed away September 26, 2023, in Lewisville, Texas, with her family by her side. She was 73 years of age. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with family visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, October 6, 2023 at Trout Funeral Home. Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Joan A. Jones on September 29, 2023, in her own home. She was age 92. Joan Agnes Fennema was born on October 6, 1930, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Mary Elizabeth Wood Fennema and Dirk Fennema. She was an adored only child of older parents, learning early to memorize and recite poetry. At the ice cream plant owned and managed by her father, she could consume all the ice cream she wanted. In her early teens, the family moved to Winfield, KS. Her father passed away when she was 14.
