Michael Vell “Mike” McCool, life-long resident of Ponca City, died at his home on September 13, 2023, after a long battle with heart disease, and several years on the heart transplant list. Mike was born in Ponca City to H.L. “Mac” McCool and Ann Clothier McCool in 1961. He was 62 years old. He attended school here, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1979. He attended Northern Oklahoma College, and obtained his Licensed Practical Nurse certification.

Joyce Elaine (nee Isenberg) Presley returned Home on Tuesday September 12, 2023. Joyce was born September 24, 1941, in McAllen, Texas to James Wilbert (Jim) and Edith (nee Wilson) Isenberg, both of whom preceded her in death.

Olin Albert Tabor passed from this life on September 12, 2023, at the age of 84 in Terlton, Oklahoma. Olin was born on February 19, 1939, at Pond Creek, Oklahoma, the son of Glenn Preston and Etta Elsie (Anthony) Tabor.

Judy Ann Laney, 73, passed away September 14 , 2023. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent her life devoted to her husband and children. She enjoyed garage Sales , slot machines and cooking. Judy was a beloved mother.

Carolyn Joy Martin Sullivan was born in Hollis, OK on December 2, 1936, to George Glenn and Marie Madge (Collier) Martin. She grew up with a brother and four sisters around the Harper County towns of Buffalo and Selman in northwest Oklahoma.

Brooks Ryan Mittasch, 9, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with family greeting guests from 5-7 P.M. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Will Miller Gymnasium in Morrison, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery. Irma Lee Bain, longtime rural Newkirk resident passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was the daughter of Archie Jacob and Rose Lorene (Bryson) Kail.

Ethel Hope Royster, of Owasso, OK and former Ponca City resident, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 7, 2023. She graced this world for 97 years and 11 months.
