Blackwell defeated Hennessey 24-22; Woodland whipped Oklahoma Union 52-6; Millwood defeated Newkirk 49-14; Pawnee topped Chouteau-Mazie 46-8 and Boise City edged Deer Creek-Lamont 48-42.

The 2023 football season is still in progress, but the Wildcat coaching staff has put together a schedule for the 2024 season that looks somewhat different than this year’s. The reason for some of the change is that the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has assigned Ponca City to a district that is considerably different than the current District 6AII-2.

CHICAGO – Justin Jefferson ambled in a circle around the 25-yard line at Soldier Field, tossing a ball to himself to keep busy and offering fist bumps to the teammates who would try to take his inimitable place in the Vikings offense. It was the first day of a strange new routine that will last for at least four weeks, because of the right hamstring injury that put Jefferson on injured reserve and forced the Vikings to do without him for the first time since that night in April 2020, when former General Manager Rick Spielman laughed to himself in disbelief the Eagles had left Jefferson available to the Vikings with the 22nd pick in the draft.

Jenks was the winner of the Class 6A Regional Tournament it hosted last week. The top-ranked Jenks Trojans eliminated Ponca City 3 sets to none in the opening round and went on to claim the title.
