Area smaller school football teams will return to action Friday with a number of games with playoff implications. Tonkawa will be at Hominy, Morrison will be at Woodland, Chisholm will be at Blackwell, Newkirk will be at Perry, Chelsea at Pawnee and Deer Creek-Lamont will travel to Tyrone.

Wildcats have another Thursday game

The Ponca City Wildcats varsity football team is poised for its second consecutive Thursday night game this week as it is scheduled to travel to Oklahoma City to play the Capitol Hill Redwolves. The Redwolves are 0-7 for the season and have been overwhelmed in most of their district games so far this season.
