Jill Valgora honored as February’s Healthcare Professional of the Month by the Community Health Foundation

Jill Valgora has been selected as the Community Health Foundation’s February Healthcare Professional of the Month. Jill is Director of Social Services at Ponca City Nursing and Rehab (PCNR). She has worked at PCNR for four years. Jill’s responsibilities include completing admission paperwork for new residents, conducting regular assessments of residents’ cognitive functioning, conducting weekly care plan meetings with residents and family members, coordinating mental health services for residents including psychiatric medication management and counseling services, guiding residents and family members in decision making regarding returning home or staying in long term care, communicating with insurance companies, connecting residents with eligible services and benefits, and even going shopping for residents who are unable to do so.

The Ponca City Gospel Jubilee will be featuring the “The Pohl Singers” this coming Saturday, March 4th at 6:30 p.m. This ministry is comprised of a husbandand- wife team, Leonard and Marina Pohl. Traveling from Pratt Kansas for a return visit to the Jubilee, we know you will enjoy this music ministry. The Pohl’s have traveled for many years going wherever the Lord leads them to share the word in song and testimony. Bringing to stage a great Southern Gospel sound with beautiful harmony and songs that will inspire all. The facility offers a concession stand as well as prize drawings throughout the night, refreshments and fellowship. Trespassing - At 12:38 am on Feb. 24, the clerk at Triple T requested an officer in reference to a “Chris” that was trespassed there. Subject was wearing a blue and green jacket, and a Dallas Cowboys beanie. Officer #29 took Christopher Armstrong, 1/76, into custody for trespassing.

Florida school’s effort to stop filming fights spurs debate

When a video of a brawl at a Pembroke Pines high school started circulating, the principal alerted parents that anyone involved could face discipline — including those filming it. West Broward High Principal Brad Fatout was hoping to dissuade students from posting fight videos on TikTok and other social media sites, possibly encouraging more fights or bullying, district officials said.

Official film selections announced for the 2023 Tonkawa Film Festival

The organizers of the Tonkawa Film Festival have announced their Official Selections for the 2023 Tonkawa Film Festival which returns for its 4th year Apr 14-15, 2023, hosted by the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce. Festival screenings will once again take place at Wilkin Hall on the beautiful Northern Oklahoma College campus in Tonkawa, OK.
