April 26, 2023 Burglary - The reporting party advised his vehicle was broken into sometime overnight at 1113 Bradbary Lane. Officer spoke to the reporting party and nothing was taken. The reporting party did not want a report, just an extra patrol.

ATLANTA -- A Fulton County judge is giving District Attorney Fani Willis additional time to respond to a motion by Donald Trump’s legal team which argued she should be disqualified from investigating the former president’s alleged interference in Georgia’s 2020 election.

Final legislative update forum held on April 28

The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce’s Ponca Politics Committee held their final forum for the current legislative session on Friday, April 28 in the City Commission Chamber at City Hall. Senator Bill Coleman and Representatives Ken Luttrell and John Pfieffer, were all on hand to provide updates from the capital and answer questions from the audience.

Citation to be presented on E.W. Marland’s birthday

Marland’s Grand Home will be celebrating E.W. Marland’s 149th birthday on Saturday, May 6 from 10 am to 3 pm. The event will feature music, vintage cars, cake and beverages. In addition, participants will be able to sign a birthday card for E.W. Marland to be displayed at the Grand Home, or bring a card of their own.

Blackwell Animal Control is making changes

Blackwell Animal Control had big news this month when they announced that, with the help of Blackwell Animal Hospital, they were going to be able to have every shelter animal fully vetted by the time they left their care. This means that not only will they continue to vaccinate each animal, but they will also be able to have them spayed and neutered before they ever leave the shelter. This is very exciting news for the Animal Control Officers Yinger and Parson.
