A huge second half put together by the visiting Choctaw Yellowjackets doomed the Ponca City Wildcat boys team 76-43 Tuesday at Robson Field House. The Wildcats started well, and trailed by only two, 13-11 after one quarter.

Little by little the Choctaw Lady Yellowjackets pulled away from the Ponca City Lady Cats to forge out a 46-34 victory Tuesday in Robson Field House. Choctaw led 14-8 after one quarter, only to see the Lady Cats go in a 6-0 run to tie the score at 14 each in the second quarter.

PERRY -- Ponca City’s varsity boys wrestling team defeated the Perry Maroons for the second year in a row Tuesday night. The Wildcats outpointed Perry 46-30.

Traffic Stop - At 1:44 am on Dec. 13, a traffic stop occurred at 5th and Central. Officer took Francisco Campos, 01/2004, into custody for Kay County warrants for first degree burglary, domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious injury to property, disrupting an emergency telephone call, and new charges of trafficking meth, child endangerment x3, minor in possession of tobacco and possession of marijuana without a license. The officer also took a 16-year old male for curfew violations, no driver’s license, possession of marijuana without a license, and trafficking meth. Officer took a 17-year old into custody for minor in possession of tobacco, possession of marijuana without a license, curfew violation and trafficking meth. Finally, the officer took a 16-year old male into custody for possession of marijuana without a license, curfew violation, trafficking meth, and false impersonation. Vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The Juveniles were released to the Office of Juvenile Affairs and sent to Garfield County.
