NOYS helps families through Parents as Teachers program

Raising children can be a daunting task, especially when thrust into a first child with no experience. Whether concerned over nutrition and wellness or educating the kids before the start of their school career, there is much to learn as a new parent. The Northern Oklahoma Youth Services (NOYS) is here to help parents as they explore parenthood and raise their kids to be ready for school in only a few years.

State of the County forum to be held on Nov. 17

The Ponca Chamber of Commerce Ponca Politics Committee will be holding the last of their three fall forums on Friday, Nov. 17 at City Hall, located at 516 E. Grand Ave., from 12 pm to 1 pm. This event follows the two previous forums: the State of the City, and the State of Schools both held in September and October respectively.

Trump insists on ‘disclaimer’ defense already tossed in NY fraud trial

As he sat on the witness stand in a New York courtroom last week, Donald Trump reached into his pocket, pulled out a piece of paper and tried to hand it to the judge. Trump explained the document showed the standard disclaimer he used on financial records he sent to lenders — essentially saying they can’t rely on him to tell the truth.
