Chinese President Xi Jinping touted close ties with Russia on the second day of his state visit to Moscow Tuesday, inviting Vladimir Putin to make a return visit later this year. “It fits the historical logic that Chinese leaders take Russia as a primary choice for their overseas visits, Xi said, adding that China and Russia are each other’s biggest neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner,” the official Xinhua News Agency reported.

Northern Oklahoma College celebrates 50 years of Nursing at a two-day event March 24-25 at NOC Tonkawa. The event begins Friday night with a mixer at the Cultural Engagement Center and then attending the Redbud Jazz Festival at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m.

The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 21 at 8 am. Angela Spicer called the meeting to order.

The Doodle Academy, located at 103 E. Grand Ave., will be holding a 4th Friday Art Night on March 24 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Admission to the event is free and will provide the opportunity to meet and view the works of Bradley Brauser.

The PO-HI Alumni Hall of Fame committee is seeking nominations for the 2023 Alumni Hall of Fame induction Ceremony. The Ponca City High School Alumni Hall of Fame was established to honor alumni of PO-HI, living or deceased, who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in their life, career, and community.

Early voting begins Thursday March 30, 2023 for voters in Kay County. The following Municipalities will have an election for City Commissioners : City of Ponca City ,City of Newkirk, City of Tonkawa, Kaw City and Braman .
