The 5th Circuit Says Criminalizing Journalism Is Not Obviously Unconstitutional

Body
The Appeals Court Dismissed a Civil Rights Lawsuit by a Laredo Gadfly Who Was Arrested for Asking Questions Five years ago, the Harris County, Texas, Institute of Forensic Sciences sent me reports on the autopsies of two people who had been killed in a Houston drug raid. After I wrote an article based on those reports, the county attorney’s office told me they were not public information because they were part of an ongoing investigation.

Burbank First Baptist Church News

Body
The following is more early history of Burbank Baptist Church. In the afternoon of June 6, 1936, a tornado swept through Burbank demolishing homes, businesses, buildings, and claiming one life. The Burbank Baptist Church was among those destroyed and the parsonage was severely damaged. On June 17, 1936, the church had been rebuilt at a cost of $500.94, with Clarence and Dorothy Bellmard donating 95% of the volunteer labor. On Oct. 10, 1948, the home of Fred and Belle Vaught was destroyed by fire while they were attending church. Mrs. Vaught was the church clerk, all records up to 1948 were destroyed. On August 29, 1982, the 50th Anniversary of the FBC of Burbank was observed with 80 in attendance for church service and over 100 guests were hosted by the church for a fellowship dinner. Special music was by “The Forgiven”. There have been some very trying times in the life of Burbank, First Baptist Church. However, the Lord has always provided a way for the work to continue. Those who were faithful and looked to the Lord’s guidance have continued to foster and perpetuate a spiritual presence in the Burbank community and surrounding families in Osage and Kay County. The Lord continues to bless all who are seeking a blessed worship experience. Whether there are 15 or 60 people in attendance the presence of the Lord is felt. We are inspired as believers to continue in the same faithfulness of all those who have attended for the past 92 years. We are looking forward to the month of February as we hold our Valentine Day celebration on February 18 at 6 PM. We have invited the puppet ministry of Northeast Baptist Church to perform the routines that their youth have prepared for this event. A fellowship meal featuring Mexican cuisine will be served prior to the puppet presentation. Everyone is invited. Please bring a special dish to share with others.

Dear Annie: I’m knee-deep in a demanding job, and I absolutely love it. The problem is, I can tell my health is slipping. I’m not getting a lot of sleep, I rarely have time to hit the gym, and my meals usually consist of fast or frozen food due to time constraints. My body is starting to feel the consequences, and I want to feel good again without sacrificing too much time. Any tips? -- Healthy Hacks Seeker Dear Healthy Hacks: If you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll burn out, and your body won’t let you continue doing that demanding job you love so much.

Corrupt Enterprise: A Poisoned, Poisonous UN Agency in Gaza Faces the Music

Body
It is Albert Einstein who is credited with observing that “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.” If that is so, it is finally coming to light that those who have defended the U.N.’s special agency for Palestinians, the United Nations Relief and Works Administration (UNRWA), have been guilty of a kind of criminal insanity. It’s long been obvious that UNRWA is not merely a de facto affiliate of Hamas in Gaza, but a de facto Hamas sponsor -- funneling cash to the murderous group, serving as a recruitment and training vehicle for Hamas operatives, and functioning as cover for the construction of Hamas military infrastructure and a shield for the storage of Hamas weaponry and rocket attacks on Israeli civilians. Five years ago, Switzerland’s foreign minister stated what even then was obvious: “UNRWA has become part of the problem. It supplies the ammunition to continue the conflict. By supporting UNRWA, we keep the conflict alive. It’s a perverse logic.”
