William “Bill” W. Mayfield, 61, of Ponca City, formerly of Arkansas City, passed away April 11, 2021. Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at the Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Friends may greet the family 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory.

Bill was born March 11, 1960, to William D. and Jeri M. (Peters) Mayfield in Arkansas City. He attended schools in Oxford.

Bill worked as a welder for Conoco Phillips for many years. He enjoyed trap shooting, taking his buggy to the sand dunes, fast cars, pulling his kids on the tube at the lake, spending time with his grandson and running jug lines with his younger two kids.

Survivors include his children Crissy Mayfield both of Arkansas City; Seth Mayfield of Blackwell; Zach Mayfield of Ponca City; Makenna Walton and husband Chance of Missouri; adopted daughter Tawnie Mayfield of Arkansas City; sister Jeri Bruce and husband Mark of Arkansas City; father William “Bill” Mayfield and wife Annie of Sedalia, MO; grandchildren Alec Berg, Chance Walton, Myles Mayfield, and a granddaughter.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Jeri, sister Joanna Wells, brother Donnie Mayfield, and his grandparents.
