The famous poet, abolitionist, and teacher Lucy Larcom once said, “He who plants a tree, plants a hope.” Arbor Day is just one of many holidays that the United States celebrates, but it is an extremely important one, though it is often forgotten. Instead of celebrating important historical events, Arbor Day represents a hope for the future. The main goal of this holiday is to raise awareness for the trees and educate the population on the importance of trees and forests to our planet. This is important to understand because this knowledge helps when understanding the lasting damage that deforestation has on our environment.

March 15, 2023 Man with Weapon - At 2:18 am, the reporting party advised his neighbor’s friend was screaming outside at 106 S. Elm and the problem half said he had a gun. Subject left eastbound on Grand. Subject was a white male wearing all black. Officer made contact, no weapons or threats.
