Wheeler Dealers Christmas Party held at McCord Senior Citizens Center

PONCA CITY, OK – In Oklahoma one never knows what the weather will be like. It may not be camping weather, but that doesn’t stop members of the Wheeler Dealers Camping Club from getting together for a Christmas party. This year’s party, hosted by Ponca City members Mike and Beth Podurgiel, was held at the McCord Senior Citizens Center, Ponca City.

Dec. 13, 2023 Disturbance - At 1:53 am, the reporting party requested an officer to advise that he got into a physical fight with his brother at 617 E. Fresno. Subject was still on scene yelling and destroying property. Officer #49 took Ashton Powell, 2001, into custody for obstruction of investigation.

The front windows of the Newkirk Heritage Center are a stimulating display of Christmas cheer. Located on North Main Street, it is the most striking display on the block. One side sees Santa Claus relaxing in a sudsy bath, the other showing the Peanuts gang skating gracefully on a wintry, frozen pond, painted by local artist Morgan Wathor.

A Panasonic spokesperson said Friday that the company will not build a multibillion-dollar battery plant at Pryor’s MidAmerica Industrial Park.
