The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce will be holding a scavenger hunt throughout the month of October and anyone is able participate.

For a little over a month, the Chamber has been planning the scavenger hunt to help increase foot traffic at local businesses and provide the community with something fun to do.

“Super excited,” said Billy Elliot, Membership Specialist at the chamber. “Any way to help our members is something I want to do whole heartedly.”

The scavenger hunt started on Oct. 1, there are 17 members participating and the first clue can be picked up at the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce. The other clues are distributed by the members that were answers for the previous clues.

Clues can vary from a single sentence to some requiring lateral thinking.

"(The clues) are designed to be completed by anybody and anyone can participate," said Elliot.

When finished, the final clue must be brought back to the chamber with your name and phone number to be e ntered to win a prize of $100 in Chamber Bucks. There will be three winners of the Chamber Bucks, which can be used at any participating chamber members business. All bus inesses were chosen randomly from chamber members and all are locally owned businesses, retail, restaurants and others unique to Ponca City.
