Northern Oklahoma Humane Society is partnering with Cathy Bissell of the Bissell Pet Foundation and Dogtopia for an “Empty The Shelter” adoption event through Sun., May 15. During this adoption event, Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring reduced adoption fees. Both adult dogs and cats will have $10 adoption fees to make adoption more affordable for the prospective pet owners.

First Fridays is officially coming to downtown Ponca City this summer, with the first even kicking off Friday June 2. First Fridays is a collaborative effort, and is being co-sponsored by City Arts, Ponca City Main Street, Ponca City Chamber of Commerce, Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council and the City of Ponca City. Whether you’re interested in live music, art exhibits, food trucks, or simply strolling around and enjoying the atmosphere, you’ll find plenty to do downtown during First Fridays.

Ponca City Main Street (PCMS) attended the 33rd annual Main Street Awards Banquet on Tuesday, May 2 in Oklahoma City. Various Main Street programs across the state competed for 23 different award categories that represented the four points of the Main Street Approach with a panel of judges for each point.
