Data show smoking prevalence in Oklahoma continues to decline

According to latest Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Survey OKLAHOMA CITY – The percent of adults who smoke in Oklahoma has been steadily declining, falling from 26.1% in 2011 to 15.6% in 2022. “This is something the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) and our partners continue to put effort and resources into,” said Shelly Patterson, the chronic disease service director for OSDH.
