EDMOND -- The Ponca City High School swim team had some good individual results in the recent Edmond Invitational Swim Meet at Mitch Park. The girls team was sixth in the team results as Edmond Memorial was the champion, and the boys team finished fourth behind team winner Carl Albert.

BLACKWELL -- The defending Class 3A state champion Blackwell Maroons defeated the Ponca City Wildcats 58-21 in a dual Tuesday. Once again, the Wildcats were dominated in the heavier weights, as Ponca City had all its 21 points after the 138pound match.

One-quarter of the way through the Clippers’ season, taking stock of the team is like looking into a funhouse mirror — each glance revealing something different, even contradictory. Their roller-coaster ride continued Wednesday when the Clippers, one of the worst performers in close games this season, had every answer for defending champion Denver down the stretch of a 111-102 victory that moved them to 10-10, the first time they have been at .500 in a month.
