EDMOND -- The Ponca City Wildcat swimmers had a dominating performance Saturday at the Yukon Invitational held at Edmond’s Mitch Park. The Wildcat swimmers had a bunch of first and second places in the meet.
Some teammates surrounded Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, four of them in all, but they could do nothing to tame the response. TAHLEQUAH -- The Ponca City Lady Cats came away with a 54-26 victory over Southeast of Oklahoma City Saturday in the seventhplace game of the Tahlequah Invitational Tournament. It was the first victory of the season for the Lady Cats, who are now 1-3.

TAHLEQUAH -- The Ponca City Lady Cats lost a 67-42 decision to the McAlester Lady Buffaloes Thursday in the opening round of the Tahlequah Invitational Tournament. Ponca City held a 14-13 lead after the first quarter, but then was held to five points in the second quarter as McAlester scored 19 to take a 32-19 lead at the half.
