As the Cowboys sit at 3-5, they’d probably like to have the final minutes of some of their losses back. Three of its defeats have come by two points, with another coming by five for a combined difference of 11 points.

The Chorale Arts Society of Northern Oklahoma (CASONO) is pleased to invite the public to attend a free concert of “Christmas Classics.” The concert will be presented at First Presbyterian Church , Ponca City, on Sunday, December 17 at 2 pm. The Artistic Director is Brandon Haynes, Roustabouts Vocal Director/ Adjunct Voice Faculty/Staff at Northern Oklahoma College. Accompanist is Connie Van Ausdall, adjunct faculty of Northern Oklahoma College and retired Director of Music for St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Also accompanying will be Suzanne Sumpter, adjunct faculty of Northern Oklahoma College.

Anytime an OSU player was asked about the difference between last season and this one, they would deliver a similar message. “This year’s team is different,” he would start.

EDMOND -- The Ponca City High School swim team had some good individual results in the recent Edmond Invitational Swim Meet at Mitch Park. The girls team was sixth in the team results as Edmond Memorial was the champion, and the boys team finished fourth behind team winner Carl Albert.

Dec. 6—The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association Wednesday voted to approve one free transfer for students across high school athletics.

BLACKWELL -- The defending Class 3A state champion Blackwell Maroons defeated the Ponca City Wildcats 58-21 in a dual Tuesday. Once again, the Wildcats were dominated in the heavier weights, as Ponca City had all its 21 points after the 138pound match.
