UNITED NATIONS — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy lashed out at Russia for killing tens of thousands of his citizens in his first inperson address to the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, calling for Moscow to be stripped of its powerful veto as one of the permanent members of the U.N.’s top decisionmaking body.

BCBSOK and Stillwater Medical sign new three-year agreement

Stillwater, Okla. – A new, three-year agreement between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) and Stillwater Medical was recently finalized keeping them in network through Dec. 31, 2026, for BCBSOK members. The contract keeps Stillwater Medical hospitals in Stillwater, Blackwell and Perry and the doctors and health care professionals employed by Stillwater Medical in BCBSOK networks as well.

US allows work permits for about 500,000 Venezuelan migrants

The Biden administration has moved to provide hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan migrants with work permits, meeting calls from New York and other cities strained by an influx of asylum seekers. The Department of Homeland Security estimated Wednesday that 472,000 Venezuelans who arrived before July 31 will be eligible to work under the fresh Temporary Protected Status designation.

Riders of Hope Ranch compete at the Kay County Free Fair

Hope Ranch is an equine therapy and riding lesson non-profit organization, hidden on the outskirts of Ponca City. Owners and operators, Debbie and Darrell Shelton, have spent roughly the last 18 years helping children with disabilities and those simply with a love for horses, take control over their lives and learn important life lessons, all from the back of a horse. The Sheltons believe that there is no limit to any of these children’s capabilities with a little bit of help, hard work, and knowledge.
