THS Distinguished Alumni Luncheon Tickets Available

Tickets are now available for the Tonkawa High School Distinguished Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, October 7. You may purchase tickets at the Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank, Gateway Bank, from any Alumni Board member or from the Alumni website tonkawaalumni.com. If you would like to reserve a table (of 8) for a special group, please make your request by emailing the Alumni Association at tonkawaalumni@gmail.com. The cost is $25 per ticket. EXCITING NEWS FOR 2024 CATTALE YEARBOOK There’s some exciting news for Po-Hi students and the 2024 CatTale yearbook with Legacy Studios being the new district photographer. Some things won’t change, however. At the high school, all students, faculty, and staff will continue to have their yearbook pictures taken at no cost. As always, a variety of different portrait packages are available for purchase.

RecPlex launches Family Fun Night

There was a new excitement at the Ponca City Rec-Plex Saturday evening, Aug. 26. Many of the facility’s activities typically close early on weekends, including the pool, climbing wall and trampoline. Many families were seen marching into the facility’s doors that evening, however, as those same activities stayed open a few hours, along with a new activity, roller skating, and the RecPlex held their first Family Fun Night to bring families out to celebrate together.

More than 60 Atlanta training center activists named in RICO Indictment

More than five dozen activists were indicted on RICO charges last week over the ongoing efforts to halt construction of the city of Atlanta’s planned public safety training center in DeKalb County. The sweeping indictment, handed up last Tuesday in Fulton County court, is being prosecuted by the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.
