Dec. 15, 2023 Trespassing - At 1:16 am, an employee at Triple T requested an officer in reference to a male subject that was trespassed. Subject walked off. The reporting party wanted an officer to search the area for this subject to make sure he stayed away.

Death toll climbs in China’s worst earthquake in nearly a decade

Bloomberg News The death toll from China’s worst earthquake since 2014 rose to more than 130 as the government sent a top official to oversee recovery efforts. Some 113 people were killed in mostly rural areas of Gansu province and another 18 in neighboring Qinghai, state broadcaster China Central Television reported late Tuesday.

CHICAGO — Authorities are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy Sunday who had been staying inside a warehouse on the Lower West Side housing several thousand migrants. The parents of Jean Carlos Martinez Rivero are devastated, said Matt DeMateo, executive director and pastor at New Life Centers, who is consoling the family and mediating their communication with city officials as the investigation of their son’s death continues.

Suspect in reporter’s slaying seeks judge’s removal

A former public official accused of killing former Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German is again asking for a new judge to oversee his impending murder trial. Robert Telles, the 47-yearold ousted Clark County public administrator, filed court papers this week accusing District Judge Michelle Leavitt of a “deep-seated favoritism for the Clark County District Attorney and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that has made and will continue to make fair judgement impossible.” Authorities have said that Telles stabbed German outside the reporter’s home in September 2022 over articles German had written about his conduct as an elected official.
