Breakfast may or may not be the most important meal of the day, but it’s certain that regularly eating breakfast not only offers fuel to start your day but also has been linked to reduced risk for cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and shortterm memory loss in adults. Yet, an estimated 10% to 20% of adults in the U.S. skip breakfast.

Comically Serious A new trailer dropped on Wednesday for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts which also revealed a very big surprise about the true antagonist of the movie and seemingly confirming that the film is a soft-reboot of the franchise. Now I say “soft-reboot”, as no one is really sure if this is supposed to be in the same continuity of the five Michael Bay movies (there is a lot to say no, but even the Bay films can’t seem to keep things straight).

DNA testing and interpretation is a hot topic in genealogy these days. Pioneer Genealogical Society will discuss it at their monthly meeting on Monday, May 1, at 7 pm at the Ponca City Library. Hallie Godbehere, PGS Board member, will present the program from her extensive experience using DNA to track down family members and their mutual ancestors, with a special emphasis on using the Leeds method. In 2018 Dana Leeds, while trying to help a shocked young man looking for his REAL birth parents, devised a way to use a spreadsheet and color coding to sort through pages of DNA matches from testing to simplify and identify his actual four grandparents’ lines. It can be great way to make sense of testing results to solve mysteries in family research and find new direction when documents are not available.
