Charles Storck of Braman, Oklahoma, passed away the morning of February 23, 2022 in his home, at the age of 75 years. Charles Eldon Storck was born on October 7, 1946, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the son of Carl and Gladys (Ring) Storck.

The POHI Girl’s bowling team bowled their way in the State Finals where they will compete against teams from four other regional competitions. After bowling an eight-game positioning round and eliminating the Cushing team, the POHI team bowled against Stillwater team to determine the Regional Champions. POHI defeated the Stillwater team in a five-game contest, finishing the Regional Competition with a 3-2 victory. The POHI team will compete for the State Championship at Andy B;s in Tulsa.

Everyone loves a comeback story. We can all relate to being the underdog at one point or another in life. Comeback stories usually involve an individual or team who’s outmatched, outranked, or out of time, and just when you think all hope is lost, it happens: the comeback.

Last year, James Gunn managed to seemingly do the impossible by taking the disastrous 2016 Suicide Squad movie and churning out a sequel that was not only better, but on of my favorite comic book movies of the year.

Students in Stacy Pinney’s Teen 2 class at West Middle School recently had the responsibility of grouping up and creating a food truck. Students had to completely design the truck, name the business, come up with a menu and stock the truck with specific food items, as well as the equipment needed to operate the truck.

Wednesday, March 2, 2022 has been declared as Read Across America Day in Ponca City Public Schools. Elementary schools have scheduled activities throughout the week.
