TWO WILDCAT golfers, Cooper Hermann and Hunter Austin, earned spots in the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Class 6A State Golf Tournament in Monday’s Regional Tournament. The State Tournament will open on Thursday at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso. Monday’s regional was at the Broken Arrow Golf and Athletic Club. May 2—After digging themselves a considerable hole in the NL Central standings through the first month of the season, the Cardinals found themselves in a hole against the Los Angeles Angels before they’d even had a chance to swing a bat on Tuesday night.
MINE THAT BIRD was a big long shot winner in the 2009 Kentucky Derby. The unheralded horse ran at 50-1 odds.

The first weekend of May is near and that usually means time for the Kentucky Derby. I am not a huge horse racing fan, but when the Derby and the subsequent races in the Triple Crown are coming up, I get some interest. It is similar to my approach to the NHL. I could care less when the regular season is in full force, but when the Stanley Cup playoffs are going on, I pay attention.
