Three members of the Ponca City boys varsity soccer team signed letters of intent to play in college earlier this week.

Those signing most recently were: -- Sergio “Checho” Aguilar, with Ranger College, Ranger, Texas -- Antonio Aguilar, with Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa --Eliseo Ramirez, Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa.

There have been several members of the Wildcat soccer team who have signed to play in college. They include the three above, Cayden Andersen, Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, Kan.; and Israel Menchaca, Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa. Another member of the team, Gabe Roland, is scheduled to join the football team at Kansas State University, Manhattan.

The Wildcat boys soccer team compiled a 9-6 record during the past season, its first winning record since 2007. Ben Steichen is the boys’ head coach.
