With the Summer League season completed, the Ponca City Lady Cats softball team will participate in an 100-inning game on Tuesday.

The event will be at the Ponca City RecPlex and will begin at 10:30 a.m.

According to Coach Jeneva Nelson, two teams from each the junior high and senior high age groups will compete during the day. The junior high teams will start off, playing 10 innings and then the senior high teams will take over competing for 10 innings. The rotation will continue until 100 innings have been completed. A pitching machine will be utilized and each batter will start with a one-ball, one-strike count.

KidsInc will be having their annual family fun night at the RecPlex beginning at 2 p.m.

The 100-inning game is a fundraiser for the junior high and senior high softball teams, with the players getting pledges per inning. Pledges received are multiplied by 100, since that is the number of innings scheduled to be played. At the end will be a pot luck meal served to the players and their families. After the meal will be a parents vs. players game.

Practice for the upcoming season will begin on July 14.
