Two area teams placed players on the high school football District A-6 All-District team.

The Pawnee Black Bears were the district champion and the Woodland Cougars finished as runners-up. Pawnee finished the season 7-1 with the only loss on its schedule coming in the opening game with Washington, a Class 2A ranked team. Woodland is now 10-1 with its only loss coming in its game with Pawnee.

Pawnee’s All-District team members:

District A-6 assistant coach of the year— Daniel Kendle

District A-6 player of the year — Blake Skidgel

District running back of the year— Trevor Mitchell

Offensive lineman of the year— Tad Hughes

Defensive lineman of the year — Conner Skidgel

All-District tight end— Kamden Jones

All-District offensive tackle—Chuck Long

All-District offensive guard— Conner Lieb

All-District center— Sutton Burnett

All-District injured player— Gunner Fritsche

District Courage Award— Cade Clymer

Honorable mention— Jake Mitchell, free safety; Nicky Ceaser, strong safety; Harlan Britt, defensive end; Malique Barber, defensive tackle; Barrett Stevenson, fullback.

Woodland’s All-District team members:

District A-6 offensive MVP— Nate Lockert

District A-6 defensive MVP— Jake Kennedy

Defensive tackle of year— Luke Fisher

Defensive back of the year— Trey Reese

Fullback of the year— Ben Brock

Courage/leadership Award— Ethan Fesler

Slot receiver of the year— Mason Dysart

Center of the year — Gunnar Gates

Honorable mention— Jacob Brackett, offensive tackle; Lucian McKinney, tight end; Zane Jenkins, offensive tackle; Jamie Jordan, defensive back.

Members of District A-6 include Pawnee, Woodland, Hominy, Morrison, Caney Valley, Chelsea and Chouteau-Mazie.
