Sallilee “Sally” Bryant of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born on January 8, 1953, to Jack and Patricia Bowker in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully in the home surrounded by family on November 20, 2023, at the age of 70.

At the age of two, Sally and her family moved to Blackwell, OK, before moving to Ponca City, OK, in 1960 where she resided for the rest of her childhood. Sally attended Ponca City Public Schools where many of her weekends were spent borrowing her favorite car off the lot of her Dad’s Ford dealership, often asking for forgiveness rather than permission. After graduation she attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK, before continuing the family tradition and attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK.

After leaving Stillwater, Sally returned to Ponca City to work as a travel agent at Universal Travel. It was during that time that she met former Ponca City resident, Pat Bryant, who resided in Oklahoma City. It didn’t take much to convince Sally to transfer to Oklahoma City to be near Pat, where she then worked at Nichols Hills Travel. The two were married on May 15, 1976, at the First Presbyterian Church in Ponca City, OK. Sally always loved the fact that their wedding reception was the first reception ever held at the Marland Mansion, and boy, what a night it was!

After their first child, Scott, was born in 1980, Sally ultimately dedicated her life to being a homemaker. Their second child, Cressilee, was born in 1987. The ensuing years were spent traveling to both kids’ sporting events where she filled the role of biggest fan/cheerleader, rarely missing a game, event, or horse show. If it wasn’t her own kids’ sporting events, you could find her in Stillwater hosting an elaborate tailgate prior to an Oklahoma State football game. Sally always enjoyed traveling with her family to many destinations. Some of her most cherished trips were island hopping in the British Virgin Islands on a chartered catamaran.

An animal lover to the core, Sally was known for having animals of all types, large and small. She will be thoroughly missed by her two dogs, Beau and Poppy. A year ago, Sally fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a yearling horse after buying PAMF Miss Indiana, which she fondly called “Indy.” Although Indy resides in Indiana, Sally loved getting to visit her and never missed a Facetime to see Indy trotting through the field or kicking up her heels in the arena. Thank you to everyone at Indian Creek Farm of Columbia City, IN for helping make that dream a reality.

Diagnosed with cancer in March of 2021, Sally spent the last two and a half years undergoing surgeries, treatments, and appointments, but she never lost her quick wit that always kept Pat on his toes. She continued to live her life to the fullest, including attending as many activities as she could for her grandson Fowler, whom she loved dearly, going on a family vacation to the Cayman Islands where many priceless memories were made, having cookouts and swimming with her son and family, and driving long distances to watch her daughter show horses.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents.

Sally is survived by her devoted husband of fortyseven years, Pat, of Oklahoma City, OK; loving son, Scott Bryant, wife Blake and their son Fowler of Edmond, OK; adoring daughter, Cressilee Bryant and fiancé CJ Webb of Fishers, IN; brother, Cory Bowker and wife Lynn of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law Carol Bluethman and husband Dave of Perry, OK; nephew, Chris Bluethman of Tulsa, OK; niece, Angie Wagner, husband Matt and their two daughters Addie and Aubrey of Henderson, NV; niece, Maggie King, husband Hayden and their son Barrett of Oklahoma City, OK; nephew, Jackson Bowker and wife Codi of Tulsa, OK.

Sally was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her humor and selflessness were just two of her many attributes which have touched more lives than we will ever know. She will be greatly missed not only by her family, but all those who were lucky enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at New Covenant Church, located at 2700 S Boulevard, Edmond, OK, 73013. Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK, is assisting with the arrangements. Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating and honoring the life of Sally. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all of Frontier Hospice, especially her nurse, Krystal Case, for her compassionate care during Sally’s final weeks. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Sally’s love for animals, please consider donating in Sally’s memory to Bella SPCA via their webpage at www.bellaSPCA.org or Bella SPCA, PO Box 20035, Oklahoma City, OK, 73156.
