Kenneth David Garrett, 88 years old, of Cumming, GA, passed away on March 25, 2022 at his home, 4950 Jekyll Rd, Cumming, GA, 30040.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at First Redeemer Church, 2100 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming, GA with Rev. Mike Schmid, Dr. Wendell Jackson, and Dr. Jeff Jackson of First Redeemer Church officiating.

Kenneth was born in Ponca City, OK to Christopher David Garrett and Thelma Saluda Dixon Garrett on March 16, 1934. He went to school at Ponca City, OK and graduated from Ponca City High School in1952. He married Greta Kay Highland on September 18, 1954 in Ponca City, OK. He worked for Conoco Inc. for 32 years and farmed for majority of his life. He was ordained a Deacon in Ponca City, OK at Sunset Baptist Church. He was a volunteer bus driver for the Ponca City Handicap Club. He was involved in There’s Hope for the Hungry Ministry and Upper Class Sunday School at First Redeemer Church. He received recognition for participation in First Redeemer Church World View Missions for Hurricane Katrina Response Team.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Thelma Garrett and his sister, Ruth Ann Foster.

Kenneth is survived by Greta Kay Garrett, wife; Christopher L. Garrett, son and his wife Cheryl; Kimberly A. Corzine, daughter; and her husband Mark; five Grandchildren: Stacey Lanius, Keith Garrett, Alisha Myers, Stephanie Atherton, Garrett Corzine, and Justin Kendrick; ten great-Grandchildren, and two great-great-Grandchildren on the way.
