Kathy Ann Walker, 70, of Lamont, OK, died on January 3, 2024, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK. Kathy will lie in state from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, January 5, 2024, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. The family will greet friends between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, Saturday. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2023 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Tonkawa with Rev. Ken Macken officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lamont Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK, 74653.

Kathy was born on August 22, 1953, in Hardtner, KS, to Richard and Vivian (Brown) Johnson. Kathy graduated from Braman High School in 1971. After graduation, she furthered her education at the Ponca City Beauty College. She ran a beauty shop from her home in Lamont, OK, for 41 years.

On August, 22, 1974, she married Michael R. Walker of Lamont, where they made their home. From this union were born 2 sons, Cory Walker and Jeremy Walker. Michael and Kathy also ran a craft business for 25 years. Michael would cut out the wood and Kathy would paint the cut-outs. They attended many craft shows over the years in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas. Kathy loved working in the yard with her flowers. She took great pride in her yard and enjoyed putting together dinners for her family.

Kathy is survived by: her husband, Michael, of the home; son, Cory and his family, Casey, Dalton and Dayton, of Beaver, OK, son, Jeremy and his family, Nina, Jessica, Khayden, Russell and Jacob of Mooreland, OK; sister, Linda Johnson; step-sisters, Becky Logan and her husband, Monty, of Fairfax, OK, and Melissa White of Ponca City, OK; and mother-in-law, Barbara Walker of Mulvane, KS. She is preceded in death by: father, Richard Johnson; her mother, Vivian White; step-father, Max White; and father-in-law, Dale Walker.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Walker, Dayton Walker, Jacob Walker, Josh Walker, Khayden Runyon and Kevin Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s name to the Lamont Fire Department, % State Exchange Bank, 1280 E Main St., Lamont, OK 74643.
