Joanne Lois Cummings, 80, of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Phillips officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505. W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Joanne was born on January 19, 1942, in Ponca city, OK. She attended school in Red Rock, OK, graduating in 1960. She then attended Ponca City Business College, receiving a degree in 1962. Joanne loved playing basketball and softball. She was a member of FFA, where she showed lambs and pigs. She was also FFA Queen. Joanne enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish, hunt and ride her four-wheeler. She loved her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. They were her whole world. She often said the reason little kids loved her was because she was a kid a heart.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Grant and Ruth Pearl (Hand) Lewis; along with her three brothers, Grant Lewis, Jr., Richard Lewis, Robert Lewis and sister, Deloris (Lewis) Houck.

Joanne is survived by: her son, Dale Brown and his wife, Lori, of Ponca City; daughter, Becky Luis and her husband, Lonnie, of Ponca city; her grandchildren, Austin Luis and his wife, Annie, of Stillwater, OK, Abby Luis of Ponca City, OK; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Olivia, Kynlee and Kaylee. She is also survived by her sister, Rosalee Warner of Ponca City; sister-inlaw, Evelyn Lewis of Allen, TX, and brother, Roger Lewis and his wife, Kathy, of Perry, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family member and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Freewill Baptist Church, 1900 E Hubbard Rd, Ponca City, OK 74604.
